Did a bit of photowalking

Got almost no pictures, but did get some practice in with reigning in my ISO numbers rather than treating it like a dump stat.

I really need to re-watch all the Matrix movies

I don't remember much my reaction to the first Matrix film. The hype and cultural impact, the visual impact on other films, was huge. I kind of remember the hype and impact more than my own reaction. I did like it. Though, ironically, I remember being annoyed that the machines chose to keep humans in the 1990s in their heads since it 'was the peak of human society'. But, ever since them I've felt more and more like the machines had a point. I mean, if you were going to be plugged into a virtual point in human history would you choose anything in the 2010s or later?

I remember liking the second film, and having lots of people tell me that made me a bad fan since ... I actually forget why that was a sin against the first movie.

I don't know if I've seen them since they came out, but I've been meaning to do a rewatch for a while. Years, actually, with all the hilarious mis-appropriation of 'red pill' over the past several years and all the re-evaluating of the film since the creators came out as trans.

Actually, wtf, I haven't even posted the Matrix 4 trailer to TransMediaClub. I really need to do re-watch and deep dive. I kind of tuned out a lot of Matrix stuff since ... I feel like the actual films got drowned out by the impact, backlash to the sheer amount of impact, constant parodying and/or visual referencing in other films, fandom weirdness, etc. The impact of the film's visual style can't be overstated. Also, I remember being told very intensely that my views on the films were wrong, but now I don't even know what those views were.
