* Scammers are hitting the people commenting my popular Christian Kane image posts, but not me! Do I just not seem like a good scamming target? I posted about this in a post to my Leverage comm a while back, but there is a long standing and persistent problem with people impersonating Leverage actors and trying to pull a specific scam, basically a Lonely Hearts variant. Deets and discussion here. Actually kinda surprised LR hasn't done a meta plot or reference about it.

* New Folding Ideas video? And it's about 'why it's rude to suck at Warcraft'. Man this is the week for video essays.

* Scorsese's daughter asked him about Goncharov.

The sad thing is, if these scams didn't work they wouldn't exist. A friend of mine got taken in by the old, "I'm an American stuck in Algeria, I need a loan to get back to the US" via an online dating site.

It would be fun if LR did something with this, but maybe they feel it would encourage these scammers more? Or maybe they will this season...

Oh yeah, from what I understand there was a huge spike in people falling for this due to pandemic isolation. ...ooh... I need to go see if that one fraud monitoring association has an RSS feed so I can add it.

I'm glad you haven't gotten hit by the scammer attempts... maybe you just give off enough of a no-nonsense vibe that they don't want to bother.

Man, more to add to my watch-later. (Though Taylor did get me to watch the "Roblox Oof" one while I was over there.)
