It's hard to even articulate the difference without sounding mildly unhinged. The sidewalks in midtown don't even reek from layers of fermented piss anymore. I guess they actually wash them sometimes now. No respect for tradition. How different it is in term of scent, feel, even the amount of traction underfoot is insane.
