I remember really enjoying the "Blood" books, but ended up preferring the follow-up series, "Smoke & ..." in those Henry's a minor recurring character, but it focuses on Tony and is set around a low-budget TV show production, and has a pretty cool m/m pairing eventually. fun fact, the author admitted at one point that she'd based a couple characters on popular Canadian actors - Callum Keith Rennie, and Nick Lea. partially their physical characteristics, but also some of the traits that fans would recognize from familiar performances in dueSouth and The X-Files.

the author has written some other stuff that I remember enjoying lots, but admit I've not kept up, so am not sure about more recent works
