Yeah, I think most fans are going to have different books they like or that don't hit with them. The first book being skippable or people just not liking the first book being an not-uncommon opinion in fandom cracks me up because I remember how hard people pushed the book because it was so wholesome. There was some crossover between the 'Yuri on Ice is landmark representation' crowd and the 'please, please read Game Changer' crowd.

I really like 3 and 5, even if 3 feels a bit rushed. The final book is amazing. I am locked into this fandom now, many years after it's initial heyday
