People without photosensitivity are complaining of eye strain and migraines from Stranger Things 3. At least in the servers I hang out. I just chatted with people who typically have no issues with lights and they couldn't even watch two pivotal scenes.

I am glad I was tabbed out 2/3rds of the time. Maybe they will make an audiobook version?

I thought it was just me because I have problems with flashing lights, but in most Stranger Things convos I've dropped into the amount of strobe lighting was called excessive at best. They agree with me that earlier seasons didn't have nearly this much flashing.

The good: it ain't just me. The bad: I apparently missed some key plot points. At least one thing happened opposite to what I thought happened. I'll need to read a detailed summary at a point.

I had an eye exam yesterday and it didn't give me much of a migraine! Also, I am confident that I they have my prescription right this time. Once my glasses are here I can get back to driving. I still need to renew my license and might need my car looked over since it's been a while. That might delay things a bit more.

Context: I have light sensitivity and had an eye exam at the start of the year that gave me a 3 week migraine and glasses that overcorrected my vision so much everything looked curved. The second exam was worse and I was diagnosed with an eye condition that I do not have. And I had a full month of being low functioning due to a second migraine I couldn't shake. The inept doctor didn't understand the migraines he was giving me were throwing off the exams. Flashing lights = migraines = slow pupil reactions and blurriness. It was a long physically and financially painful saga. I put off tackling my glasses problem for a while since I was worried about having literally weeks of nonstop migraine again.

At the new place they understood my condition and they knew the name of the rare eye problem that I am at risk for. Also, I've had an eye health complaint for about 25 years now that no eye or primary doctor had cared about. At this place they actually test for the problem as part of a routine exam and gave me stuff for it. Holy hell what a difference.

While this is all great, I am determined to get out to Neskowin for a 2 hour extreme low tide window where I might be able to see and photograph The Ghost Forest. If I can be back to driving then, the trip is simple and I can do other hikes while I am there. If I am not back to driving, it's hours on the bus and a roughly 5 mile walk to the Hart's Cove trailhead and a 5 mile walk back ... that 10 miles in addition to the 5.4 mile hike. I am doing this, but it's either going to be easy breezy or absolutely grueling.
