I was out in the rain eating ice cream. Since I forgot to get coffee on my last grocery run I was supposed to walk a certain direction while photowalking tonight and grab coffee on the way. I'd just stick it in my camera bag. Instead, I walked to Salt & Straw since their Halloween flavors are out. The current vegan flavor is Double Bouble Toil & Trouble, which is a fruity bubble gum ice cream. When I was a kid, the Baskin Robins near us only sometimes had bubble gum ice cream, but I always got it when they did. So, instead of getting a basic staple I need for daily life I got sugary coconut milk with bubble gum chunks. It tasted exactly like cheap Halloween candy. I think kind of like Smarties? (What Americans call Smarties, the pressed powder candy. Not what EU peeps call Smarties). It was great. No regrets.

And I had to wait, on a Monday night, for ice cream in the rain. There was a line. The person ahead of me ordered the toasted cricket ice cream. I'd like to try the more adventurous things, but milk bad for me.

Now I need to go hunt down something pumpkin spice... and also restock on coffee at some point.

I'll have to see if any of my pics came out. I am not spotting a lot of Halloween decorations yet, even though this town has skeletons year round. I got the front element of one lens thoroughly soaked. Also, my adapter is still missing. Right now my gear is air-drying so I can clean it later.

I marathoned it faster than I should have because I wanted to avoid spoilers. It's from the same guy who adapted Haunting of Hill House and also created Haunting of Bly Manor. Hill House was good, Bly Manor is one of the best mini-series I've ever seen.

Also, horror involving Catholicism? Oh yeah. One of my favorite flavors.
