* I don't feel great, but I do feel about 85% better. I was right that whatever this is only hit me so hard because I was out walking steep roads in bad air. I did return home way earlier than I planned. When I reviewed some of my pictures it was like, yup, I was very run down when I took this.

Apparently, nearby fires are mostly contained. rain helped them keep from spreading, but light rains on big fires just means more smoke and also the county lifted the fire ban so lots of people have been complaining of getting sick from leaf burning. Rain and air quality, more complicated than I realized!

I feel like I suddenly understand that medieval/victorian concept of miasma. When I was out it really felt like an cloud of just BAD THINGS hit me when I was just north of St John's Bridge and knocked the %$IF* out of me.

* Pushing through and finishing fic projects this weekend is not happening, especially since somehow it's Saturday night. I am not sure how that happened. In a few days I am going to need to take stock of my projects and decide what to do. I kinda did do a full first draft of a Steddie Christmas fic a week or two a ago. I need to revisit it and see if it's something I can spruce up and post or if it's drawer fic. I also did write a few thousand words of Steve and Eddie getting together, a sort of prequel to the fic I should be working on, and can possibly make that into a stand alone fic if I can figure out a good button to put on the ending.

* But the good (?) news is at that at least one plan to go and do a thing/event actually happened for once. Maybe going to St John's wasn't the best plan, but after so many things and events, and even the bigfoot fest plans fell apart, at least this daytrip plan actually did happen!
