Since I've done a lot of research on historical passenger rail travel, I've been asked a few times to post about it as a resource for other writers. I just made a post on Hisorium. I hope some people fine it useful! I tried to keep it short while still providing a basic overview ... and overshot my intended word count my like a lot. At least my pictures are pretty and well sourced? It took me a stupid amount of time to organize all the random details I know into something coherent, especially since I still haven't tracked down some of the concrete info I'd like on all this.
Most articles and blog posts online crib from that one Cookridge book I have. It's a good book, but when I'd look up to try to double check some of his info I'd just find article after article that were just paraphrases of Cookridge.
