According to Google Maps I did 492 feet of elevation change and walked at least 4.6 miles. I went up the north side and did the 282 stairs up to the 'peak'. I went down on the less steep winding paths, trying to opt for the muddier ones. I'd start on mud and then a while along the path it would be asphalt or well compacted gravel. I kept straying from path to path, trying to do the harder and less stable ones. I've had problems going downhill since that bad fall I took at Deception Pass when the ground gave out from under me.
I am doing Lower MacLeay with a group next week and want to make sure I am up to it. That's why I was out trying to tromp around on uneven, slopey muddy surfaces.
Doing some rougher terrain was good. Still not great, but yeah

I just checked and next week's hike is 950 feet of elevation change. 2x what I did. I am going to have to do something more to test my readiness.
