Okay, time to buckle down on Alaska planning. I've got that 25 lb. weight limit to wrangle. I've got camera gear and also a medical diet. I am going to be away from any place I can buy food for 4 days.

I seem to have suddenly developed an allergy to wool which reaaaally screws me up. All my base layers and a lot of my hiking/trekking gear is wool. Also, it's now spring and this is not the time of year to be in the market for cold weather gear. I am fine touching it, it's the smell. Being around wool smell is giving me a migraine and yeah, that's going to be fun. How does avoiding that even work? Anti-histamines work well for now but I am going to need to see if I can get allergy shots. Wool socks are surprisingly crucial to a lot of my outdoorsing. Cotton socks = Bad Things for ... a lot of what I do!

I am really going to have to play this wool thing by ear. I mean, it's not terribly likely that I'll be stuck somewhere that just smells of wet wool? Is this a big concern or a trivial concern? I just don't know. Why does my life keep getting these stupid complications?
