I develop and store my photography stuff and do all my digital art stuff on a small and fairly old tablet. I do this because of screen calibration and consistency. I had backed it up recently. I bought a new Seagate HD a few weeks back.

Freaking Windows updated w/o permission and compressed all my files without asking. It didn't tell me about the file compressed until I did another restart. The past few days of work I've done on my files and developing my trip pictures were all done on compressed formats. I knew LR was loading them slowly, but I didn't think much of it.

This is a mess.

At least I can re-import my my recent raws.

[edit] Because of my recent back up I was able to just trash most of the data on the tablet. It's just some recent work that was effected.

Arrrrggghhh! D:< *hugs* I'm glad you were able to recover most of it, but damnit!

It's a pain. I may need a second external to twin the data. I need to spend about a week on data management at some point.
