The new show with Clancy Brown has come out and it looks good so far. It's hard to have faith in a sci fi show on a major network, though. Clancy Brown is adorable in it. I like most of the characters so far, but the English dude is a cliche with legs.
I poked around to see reactions and most of them were calling the show a rip off of various other shows. Runaway psychic kid is an old trope. This isn't as bad as when people called The Librarians a rip off of Warehouse 13, but it's still funny.
I hope the show does well. I'd like to see an ongoing scary genre show. But having it in the old primetime network full season model makes it hard for me to have much hope.
I really wish Haven hadn't fallen apart so horribly. I think the setting is reminding me of Haven a bit and contributing to my 'well, this is going to fall apart' attitude. Have stared out so good.
