Because looking forward to even a page of new dialogue of the crew is like 90% of my brain these days:
* See them train. Logically, they all spent a lot of time training. Eliot fight training, stretching, meditating. Sophie keeping her hand in by talking her way into private events, getting free stuff by making people think she's an influencer, meeting up with Tara to keep informed on the latest scams. Hardison studying the latest security software, making gear, combing online sources for information. Parker ... mostly jumping off of things. An episode opening with each of them honing their crafts would be great and that we haven't seen Eliot training is a shame.
* One episode dealing with The Internet Of Things. Because IoT stuff is both hilarious and tragic. Hilarious because people having their systems hacked easily because they have Smart Light bulbs or have their fridge suddenly no longer work because the company stopped doing firmware updates is comedy gold. I can just hear Hardison crying because IoT has made his job too easy. And let's not forget the IoT sex toy debacle. <- link not safe for work, but hilarious.
On the other hand the state of IoT is tragic because smart devices would be amazing for people with disabilities if they weren't a mess of fly by night companies all using different, incomparable software and different aps and having horrible security exploits.
I am actually think there is at least a 50/50 chance we'll see something IoT related on the show. It's such a huge issue in personal security, privacy, civil liberties and other things right now. (Like those Ring doorbell devices selling data to police. My neighbor has one, the bastard.)
* Show us the bedrooms! Don't make me fantasy design their Avengers Tower living spaces, I am too busy with the Banzai Institute rooms and making fan levels of Phasmophobia.
* They've justified having historical episodes before. If they can make 1930s and 1970s work, they can do a 1980s episode.
* The lifts on the show are excellent, but most of them wouldn't work on me. I'm sure the show's consultant, Apollo Robbins, could lift my socks without me noticing. But just once someone should have a bag with disabled zippers (like most of the zippers on my camera bag) or be carrying their wallet in a way that is harder to nab. Even at fandom conventions my badge is better attached to me than some of those security key cards. The lifts they often use for security badges wouldn't work on my comic con badge. It's amazing that they train and do real lifts on the show. Their skills are fantastic. But the show always treats it as a given that the lifts will work, and I grew up near New York City. No one in my demographic is such an easy mark. That they really do lifts adds amazing realism, but they need to ground it in it failing sometimes.
My camera bag has no locks and no overt security features. But a video going over the low key security features would take 20-30 minutes. I know because I watched several YT breakdowns on this bag before buying it. It's not designed to be impenetrable, it's designed to a pain in the butt. You cannot get into my bag while I am wearing it without me knowing. I mean, I'm sure Apollo Robbins could but none of the show's characters.
* People who are conned do not like to admit to it. A lot of people would rather hide they've been stolen from then seek help. This is one reason why aging populations are so vulnerable, they don't want to admit to their decline or being out of touch. One episode that focused on that aspect would be amazing. Shame and embarrassment protects con artists and lets them keep working. Exploring this in an episode would be amazing. Some of the most profitable and largest scale cons rely on people not being able to admit to being a victim.
And I know John Rogers is interested in the toxic side of rugged individualism mythology, and that plays into this massive, massive problem.
* A deleted scene that's just Eliot curled up asleep on the couch with rain falling outside that can be used on a loop for one of those lo-fi music streams. I didn't say this was a reasonable list!
Actually I want to draw Hardsion hacking as lo-fi girl. I couldn't animate it, tho. I mean, I could barely draw it even, but I am going to anyway. If you don't know what I am talking about, this is a Hannibal version of lo fi girl.
