Our story thus far...
Trying to get out of the way of a historic atmospheric event using a aeroplane means a very, very choppy ride. Turbulence doesn't phase me easily, and I wasn't bothered ... but I did hit 'The interior bits of the main cabin are squeaking very rhythmically ... maybe I should consider being worried?'
I arrive and ... no Lyfts, no Ubers and no Taxis. Last night all the flights got delayed and all landed around 5 AM this morning. Once all those arrivals were finally cleared, all the drivers went home and to bed. One frazzles ground transportation guy was trying to get taxi drivers to wake up and go back. 2 hours later I get to the hotel ...
The hotel that could not access my reservation and cue me on hold with Hotels.com for 3 hours standing in the lobby. I wound up having to rebook to make sure I could even get a room tonight, but hotels.com says I am going to be refunded.
Also, it's very weird to see things that say Portland on them and have people say 'Welcome to Portland' when clearly this is Other!Portland.
