Nano-ish

There is no way I am hitting 50k words this month, but I am determined to get this one fic done during Nano. That means lots of rewriting and editing, which tends to nerf my word count. The good news is that this project is going to be longer than I originally thought. Not quite sure where it will end up, but my original estimates were low.

The past few days somehow slipped by without me getting words done. Yesterday it was due to having lots of photography things to get done. I did some good work on it today, though, and will get the damn thing done this month.

Sometimes it's sort of fun to realize that a project is going to be longer than anticipated. Sometimes it's more dismaying, but I HOPE this one is a good realization.

I'd love to have another longer piece done, so I am glad this is going to be on the longer side. I might actually try to pad out descriptions a bit :) I've got the outline really solid, so as long as I keep trucking this should be do-able.

Solid outlines do SO much to help, imo. I know some people don't prefer it, but I struggle without an outline anymore.

I think it is eminently doable!

Words are good! I made it to 3k and then life was like nope, not now. But at least I have a decent start for a future fic.

Hopefully that future fic works out! Today I wrote 2k words *checks notes* starting a brand new fic. Self, that is not what we were supposed to be working on!
