I didn't photowalk for a few days, and I can't on Saturdays so I was determined to do go on Sunday. But, when I pulled out the map to pick a direction, I could picture pretty much every street corner within two miles of me. My brain just went 'uuuggghhhh'. So, I wound up staying in. I am going out tonight if I need to drag myself out. I've found the nearest area I haven't walked to death and will go there. Even if I get no pics, I need the walking.
Staying in wasn't terrible, though. I put on almost 2k more words on a project and thoroughly reworked the start of it. The plan for this month was to finish Fake Dating On A Train, but instead I am working on my Sharkstantine fic. I am confident I can get it done and postable by the end of the month to keep on track with 'one fic a month', but I may wind up sitting on it for a few weeks after it's done so I can revise tone and voice a little.
Nanaue voice is tricky considering the wide variation in takes. I was very into DC pre-New 52, so my take is very much based on that vibe. My John Constantine is rooted in him as written by Neil Gaiman, and I directly reference his take on John's approach to magic. I did follow the first 200 issues of Hellblazer, so I have reasons to be confident, but I also... I want to let it marinate a bit and come back to it.
* Hey Hey Dean Devlin's getting a space Sci Fi show. With all the interest in long form nerd videos, I wonder if anyone's covered his career? It's pretty interesting and there are some cool stories about his insight and... so I kept winding up writing 2 or 3 paragraphs here and deleting them because this is a Random Notes post, not a long meta on Dean Devlin and why he's not a better known creator. Apparently, at some point I need to gather a long list of links, videos and other stuff and do that post.
* Julia Nolke has a new installment in her Explaining The Pandemic To My Past Self series. She really manages to capture the mood of different phases of all this.
