Night Walking

My last few photowalks were in areas that were very dark. Portland hates streetlights. For a few, it was hard to make a composition because I couldn't fully see what I was shooting. When I was processing the images, most with slow shutter speeds, it was like 'oh, there was other stuff in the shot...'

Anyway, some shots:



I am seeing more Little Free Art Galleries around. I need to start carrying things to leave in them. I was trying to do some watercolors for one at a point, but they didn't turn out. I need to pick something simple and do-able so I can get a few tucked in my camera bag.















I hate getting my own shadow in shots and will go to great lengths to avoid to. In person, the sidewalk was pitch black and I was unaware that there was enough light behind me to make an effect. This is all very lightened. Still, it kinda works here so I am not mad at it.

I will shoot stuff from across to street to avoid my shadow in the shot.

Thank you! There are three art libraries near me that I know of. And I have some min-watercolor blocks. I should be able to do something with this

Those little ghosts - the round heads and tied cloth - are one of the most nostalgic Halloween decorations for me. I usually just made them with kleenex, but they make me smile.

The tree mural is really nice!

I used to turn blow-pops into ghosts by tying kleenex around them and drawing faces.

I should be able to make a few little arts, just need to figure out what!

I used to use tootsie pops and blow pops for that, too! Or just one balled-up kleenex inside another, if we didn't have enough sucker-type candy (or I didn't want to give up my candy for decorations, lol).

I'm sure you'll be able to put together something!
