* Jamie Bower's twitter is still hacked. gg
* Elon's trying to fight with Apple. Twitter, the one app that can get away with openly having adult content on the apple app store. I want to be popcorn.gif but this is potentially messy.
* Had a power outage, but not long enough to need to toss food.
* I am probably going to start watching The Quite Place films soon because of Joe Quinn's casting. I wanted to make a joke about me watching them being exactly as likely as you'd think, but it kept winding up too convoluted.
* I've been using the Feedbro browser RSS reader browser extension as a way to replace how I got info from twitter. It's not the same, but also I used twitter since it launched and reasonably it will take a while to get as situated with RSS, especially since some sites that would definitely have had RSS a few years ago just don't know. Also, I miss following Kat Tenbarge. She's a tech and internet culture reporter for NBC. I can still read her articles, but seeing what articles she finds interesting or things she says to keep an eye on day to day was really informative. And also some types of info, especially certain local stuff, only tweeter is good at.
I thought having an alert on my screen would annoy the fuck out of me, but so far it's not. I hate allowing anything to have push alerts. I like my apps and websites and social medias to only speak when spoken to. It's not bothering me so far, but long term I probably want a tab I check rather than this. Still, a good way to get started.

Date: 2022-12-01 04:26 am (UTC)From:Sorting out an RSS feed is on my to-do for next year... there are some things I'd like to keep up with where I won't lose track (as much as I talk a good game about loving individual websites, I'm also terrible about "out of sight, out of mind" and forget to check in on them with any regularity.) I've seen more people talking about RSS feeds again over the last few months, and I know it'd be more reliable than hoping to catch the posts an algorithm decides to throw at me.
