Photowalk and pumpkin beer run

I planned my walk to go by Belmont Station. The horny bear pumpkin spice beer selection is in no way influenced by my current Halsin obsession.

I got maybe a few shots. Hopefully, I'll process them tomorrow. I'd like to wait until I get a few more before putting a batch through lightroom, but I need more fodder for my tumblr queue.

Pumpkin cider may be one of my favorites.

I love pumpkin cider, too, but I haven't had it in a while. I don't see it stocked every year

Pumpkin porter sounds so good... I like dark beers, and that sounds excellent.

Though ooh, I should at least be able to find the Great Divide one here!

Great Divide is a favorite of mine for fall/winter beers.

Pumpkin porters are good, but my fave tends to be ales since it's basically a fruit beer... sort of

I'm feel like I must have had *something* of Great Divide's, but I can't remember any specifics, so I wonder if maybe I haven't. I've spent so many years ignoring beers altogether, I haven't paid much attention to seasonal ones. I would definitely like to try some though, since I've discovered that beer can be good actually, haha. I'm glad to have the recc!

I tend to favor porters over ales, but I can see the flavor working well in ale. I may have to give both a try, if given the opportunity.

Here they mostly stock porters from them, possibly because our local scene is so stupidly IPA-heavy. I don't think I've tried or seen anything besides the porters in stock.

Our local stuff tends to ALSO be very IPA-heavy, so it's interesting to me that they focus on the porters and such elsewhere, ha. Not like those are *difficult* to find here, but they are dwarfed by the IPAs, lol.

I had a pretty good vanilla porter recently from Breckenridge Brewery (though while I like their stuff, I always roll my eyes at them for going with the "fancy mountain ski town" name, when their actual brewery is located in the suburbs about twenty minutes from me.)
