Still working on my urban tree series. Still trying to decide whether to call it The Tension Between Nature And The Urban Landscape or Trees With Big Butts

I love all of them. I adore big deciduous trees.
The line of them all against the sidewalk has that storybook sort of vibe. Though I suppose all of them do to a degree.
And even if they are big butts... I love the fascinating shapes they make.

Some of Portland's trees have a very storybook / fairytale vibe to them. I want some pics like that, but what I'm after is ones that give a feeling of tension between very established trees and the city, the weird things that happen when a tree's been there a very long time
