I did two of the Alameda Ridge stairs. There are 8 in total and if I was more in shape I could loop through and do them all, but I am not there year. I think I went up the 115 step one, and down a slightly shorter one. I don't know if I'll do photo editing tonight because my goal is to finish Leverage!
But, here's a cell phone grab:

I was after more fairy houses and also some work by Regional Memesmith, so I was in his neck of the woods. Did not find either, maybe because I wound up heading more north than I intended. There were so many people out, large maskless masses. Instead of hitting the area east-west, I veered north. I was taking that creepy doll shot with the house's owner right there. One of the awkward things about shooting peoples yards is that sometimes you wind up having conversations with strangers. She was nice, though, but it's like 'yeah hold on while I pull out my this large camera...'
I had to deal with lots of people loitering near me during certain shots. They were staring at their phones to hide the fact they wanted to swoop in and shoot what I was shooting. They only walked over because they saw me shooting and wanted to see what it is I spotted. I get it, do it too. But it's still annoying and it sucks to suddenly have a gaggle of people around me in pandemic. Also, it was moss. I was doing tight DOF shots of moss, something their cameras cant do. I doubt they were happy when they realized it was just moss.
Ugh, people. A lot of today can be summarized as ugh, people. Some people are cool and make me nice things to shoot, but most people need to get out of my way ... and wear a damn mask!
