Just saw the sky light up orange. Presumably, it's yet another power transformer blowing. Power's been flickering all night. Everything flashed green right before the power was out here for a bit.

Looking at the outage maps I don't know how I have power, especially since the houses and streetlights I can see are all without. I wonder how it'll be in the morning.

I am watching all these great storm pics roll in and and fine with not having gotten any. There are great pictures of downed power lines in the road. Neat. I'll be here with my coffee.

5 trees I can see from my window have different shapes this morning. A 50 foot birch tree has shed branches into 3 separate yards. The top isn't unbending with the ice breaking off so I assume it's a goner.

I watched a neighbor try to drive his Jeep this morning and he just spun his wheels for a while. So, I am not heading out for supplies yet.

What I didn't consider is that the grocery stores also lost power, some for 3 days. So, doing a run later will interesting. Right now ice is falling off of buildings and trees so I am still inside. But, tonight I can get back to walking and this week I should be able to walk a ton.

My plans for going out to day have been scrapped as the grocery stores are either closed due to power outages, or only open for 30 more minutes. So much for that. I've been watching people struggle through the un-shoveled sidewalks all day. One of my neighbors got his car out by clearing a section of the street and piling it on ... piling it on the sidewalk. My east coaster brain hurt watching that kind of behavior.

Anyway, I tried taking some pictures through my window.
