Battery was not low. It charged in 5 minutes. It was... right where it should be. I was not a flake, it's definitely something else. Contacts in the camera itself look fine. It's probably the battery just losing ability to hold a charge or it's contacts are dying. But, it's a 6 year old battery. That is about the expected lifespan. If a new battery fixes all I can't complain. I think this is the first time something's gone wrong with any of my Olympus gear that doesn't involve me falling off of a cliff with it in hand.

The closed section:

I used my 17mm lens most of the day because I need practice with it and because I haven't shot the mausoleum with that lens. Some shots really needed to be less wide angle, but also if I'd have shot 25mm I'd have been farther away and had more people in my way.

One of the hallways:

More mausoleum pictures, and also... actually no, just crypts. This got long so I'll put cats and roses in another post. )

I am probably going to nuke one or two pictures over on my website gallery for the mausoleum and replace it with one or two from this. The place is so big it's really hard to show it's scale and variety.

(Also, for any Librarians fans, the several 'different' mausoleums in that episode are all this one)

* Stranger Things-esque flickering lights at the Portland Mausoleum The cause is long-standing water damage to the electrical system. They can't always get the lights on at all in this section. YT decided this is a 'short' so it links different and I can't embed. Ah, well. It's auto-converted a few of my videos to shorts.

* Tyler Lyle of The Midnight is just starting Stranger Things for the first time. This is so weird... He's the vocalist of the ... The Midnight. His small children have just gotten old enough for him to pay attention to pop culture again but, considering ST's relation to the genre that The Midnight is one of the defining bands of it's like.... mind boggling. Tyler, please tweet reactions!

* Hard Drive's video on Elon Musk stealing their content to see funny and relevant online.

Also an article where they apologize for dunking on him too hard.
