Rainbow Capitalism is funny sometimes

For Pride Month BK is letting people have a Whopper with either two tops or two bottoms in some countries. I checked three times that this was a real news link and not an Onion or Hardrive article. I saw it on OLive first, but I also did check this was on other news sites.

So many layers of fail here. Let's unpack! First, I mean, this is why when you are reaching out to a group you consult with that group! The 'idea' is that the buns are equal? But... you can go to Burger Kings and be like 'two bottoms, please?'

I just... people talk to the groups you are trying to promote to! The whole 'all publicity is good publicity' thing isn't true no matter how many times people on reddit say it.

* Why... why would anyone put door-knocking sounds in a lo-fi mix? Do people not understand what these are for?

* The first chapter of this Steve/Eddie fic is at 2,632 words already. If I can whip the ending into shape I might be able to post tonight! It's got too much dialogue. The pacing and slow burn would be better if I cut some out, but I like the dialogue.

Oh wait, damn, if I want to post tonight I need a title...

* If I do post today or... any point before Sunday that will put me ahead on my one-post-per-week streak
