Clicking through the old neighborhood on google maps at 3 AM is normal, right?

I am so disconnected from that place, and it's changed so much that it's surreal. And now I am watching someone's dash cam footage of driving in the area. I've just been craving familiar things recently and well, nothing much familiar exists. Yeah, I should go to bed.

Sometimes I'll plunk myself down in my old hometown and try to find my way back to my house.

I lived on SAC airbases most of my childhood. Strategic Air Command means nukes. So none of the places I live are on Google maps - if they even exist anymore.
It's also why the air raid siren in Silent Hill fills me with a nostalgia and homesickness. I was so far removed from that life that it puzzled me a LOT.

That's weird, for those places to be so transient and hidden.

Trying to find pictures of some of my old town and where I went to camp is really, surprisingly hard. Almost makes me want to go back there to take pictures, then I realize I really don't.

Yup - big old blur. I was confused why I couldn't zoom in or see any roads ... then it hit me.
Probably about the time I ended up on another watch list (^_^)
