I've just finished booking going to Escapade Con in February. I'll be flying down and training back. The Coast Starlight isn't a route I am fond of, but it'll be nice to see it in winter. The views I'd like to see from that train are in areas gone through at night unless the train is super late and, well, it is the most delayed Amtrak train but I wouldn't want to hope for delays.

I am in that weird stage of flu recovery where I feel fine unless I actually try to do things. But hey at least I did my bookings.

And that sounds like a fun trip; it's one I've thought about taking occasionally, if/when I have more time.
