Former Navy officer who wanted to talk to agents agent and explain that they were violating their oath of office was hit, pepper sprayed and will need surgery. Link to article. If you've seen a video of someone just taking multiple baton hits while trying to reason with the federal officers here to 'retake' Portland, this is the guy.

I saw that video and was amazed that he never even flinched!

"That oath of office is essentially swearing loyalty to the Constitution of the United States, and what they're doing is not constitutional anymore."

These are the kind of folks who give me hope.

We need stories like this to counter the narrative they are pushing. The Far Right has been pushing a story that Portland's been a war zone for the past several years. I've been considering a long post explaining why I think we get so much focus for a city our size.
