While that was not the result I wanted...

Today's USA versus Canada game was a big deal because NHL players couldn't be in the Olympics for a while. Today was the most top talent on the ice that's been seen ever, because last time USA was in the Olympics we had far fewer NHL players on our roster. This was as close to 'just let all the best players play each other' as we've ever gotten.

I was so disappointed, in both this result and that of the Canadian women's hockey team. Sigh.

Big game for women's hockey, too, now that the the PWHL exists to pull players from. Kinda wish I'd followed more because that were really monumental games, but only so many hours in the day.

yeah, I was so disappointed when I woke and learned the outcome. I still put the game on when it re-aired this afternoon, but admit to not paying as much attention, cuz I already knew the ending
