There are a few canons I'll be checking out after this weekend.

Cobra Kai - I've watched a few episodes and it looks really good. Likely not a show I'd binge, but rather work through more slowly. The premise is interesting, and what I'd heard about the show was wrong.

* Roswell - Some people have tried to get me to watch this a while back. The things they said about it actually put me off. After seeing some song vids I am going to give it a try anyway.

* Vagrant Queen - Hadn't heard of it before

* Lost Tomb - Heard of it but, am unsure if I want to get into it. I'll at least watch a few eps.

Since there was a lot of talk of Discord, I spent some time writing out all the various functionalities and used for Discord I've seen on the servers I've been on. I'll make a post listing them al soonish.

Also, hey, I like organizational stuff and have some masterposts. Some people where interested in my Legolas/Gimli masterpost and maybe not everyone I who currently follows me even knows about. I have some links on my profile page. I keep a 'Fandom Map' of Jeeves & Wooster fandom. I am starting a masterpost for Buckaroo Banzai stuff because I've been meaning to do that for a while. There is the FigmentFly site for BB stuff, but it's run by people who think girls and LBGTIA+ folk have cooties and also they present a lot of their opinions on canon as fact.

I may post more later, but I just got pinged (yay Discord) for some ghost hunting.

I'm glad it was fun!

I remember being pretty into Roswell for a while back in high school, but... tbh I don't remember a lot of it except for the cast? My dad is from actual real Roswell, so I think there were mixed feelings about it, lol.

I heard some good stuff about Cobra Kai, but haven't actually seen any of it. Never heard of Vagrant Queen either, and Lost Tomb sounds familiar only as in "I maybe heard of it once."

I'm trying to learn and get used to discord. I'm only in a couple servers, and they're either dead, or so active I struggle to keep up. I think I may just not quite have the hang of it...

I had no idea there was a reboot! Lol, shows how well I keep up on anything. I meant the original, haha.

I've been recced Schitt's Creek SO MANY times. I haven't actually tried watching it yet, and I might enjoy it. Sitcom stuff just never really appeals that much.

If I had any reccs I'd share them... but unfortunately, I don't really have much for shows. I don't keep up with much (any) current-run stuff, and mostly rely on my younger sibling forcibly showing me stuff they want me to watch. (The two of us have similar taste, so it works out.)

Did you see any of The Umbrella Academy (or have any interest in it?) Not sure if it's a genre that appeals, but it's probably the most recent thing I've seen with canon queer.

I also liked S1 better than S2, though I really did enjoy both! My sibling and I are slowly watching through it, so watch #2 for me, and first for them.

The streaming wars have DEFINITELY hurt the ability to follow shows. I do periodically hear about something that sounds interesting, but very frequently it turns out it's on a service I don't subscribe to. I also don't have D+, or HBO, or any of the various proprietary network subscriptions. Half the time yeah, I'm not even sure what service I'd need if I did want to watch something.
I suppose revival of internet piracy is always a solution, but tbh I don't really care enough to bother, haha.

For sure! If I haven't seen something, there's no way I'm going to start a subscription (and tbh, likely won't even do a free trial) for it. (I'm also still Old enough that if I *really* like something, I very much want a physical copy of it. I don't trust any streaming service to stick around forever, or to keep their same library, even when it comes to shows that "belong" to them.)

I'm glad you enjoyed Escapade! :) I tried watching Cobra Kai, but found it wasn't for me. I much prefer sticking to the first two Karate Kid films, but I do hope you like the series.

The idea is definitely interesting! I think for me I'm happy with the original two films so I didn't have that "filling in the gap" need some canon leaves me. That said, while it wasn't for me, Cobra Kai is a novel idea and I like how they brought the original actors back - it was weird yet great to see them again. :) I'll be interested in what you think :D.
