Shadow and Bone

I liked it. It has some tropes I am not big on, but it's better written than a lot of stuff to come out of the fantasy YA genre. The story actually had world building that justifies having certain things going on.

You know how a lot of fantasy shows have a map in the opening credits? This should have been one of those shows. I feel like it was a bit rushed at times and some of the world building got condensed. Having a 'camera go zoomy over map' style opening credits would have helped a lot.

I am not sure if I'll check out the books, but yeah, I really liked it.
