It was hot night last night. The air smelled heavily of flowers. Which is a good thing because if the wind changes we might get a smoke event. If the wind doesn't change, we have a chance of 110 weather over the weekend. Some sort of heat dome?
Last night I was doing a supply run in case of a smoke event, but now I wish I'd bought more stuff.
There is an outlier model showing a possibly of 120 degrees that is likely due to errors, but still freaky ...
Actually, F this, time to switch Portlands for a few days.
So last fall the whole thing where the sky was orange and the dangers were piling up and I couldn't leave? Part of my brain is still not over that. There was also a Carbon Monoxide build up in the valley that was worrying. I just booked a plane ticket to the other Portland. IDK WTF I am going to do there but East Coast here I come!
Okay time to plan ... things.
Going all the way to Maine is likely not the best plan, but fuck everything. I'm from the East Coast, I am going there. I've been so good and rational all pandemic long, but now I am just getting the heck out of dodge for a bit so I don't sit here hoping the power grid holds.
Hopefully, this fizzles out, doesn't happen and I look dumb. But I just sort of hit 'nope' really hard.
