I am home and it's 100 degrees in here. Literally. But, I mean, what did I expect? Have the windows open now. I am not seeing any obvious signs of heat damage, but also I unplugged things which may have helped. The porcelain in the bathroom is hotter than the ambient temp of the room, so this 100 degrees is the place already cooling off.

More trip posts to come. Man, that trip was a mixed bag. But, travel is an adventure? Overall, the trip was good and I am glad I got to visit Maine ... but also that trip was a mess.

Ah, I think it's starting to fall to the mid 90s in here.

Thanks, but I can't really complain about having missed the 116 heat. Also, I chose to leave the AC off to reduce pull on the grid.

Some of my toiletries are toast and I am assuming some of my food is toast. I am just not going to risk it, it was over 100 in here for at least 48 hours. I am tossing a bunch of stuff.

I'm very glad you missed the worst of it. (And yes, good choice to leave the AC off.)

Better safe than sorry with the food, especially. There's not a lot that does well at temps like that. Sorry you lost things, though.

I figure the rice and canned good are fine. Everything else is gone. I hate wasting things, but I have a touchy tummy as it is.
