I need to reduce my screentime. I laid down for a bit listening to music and closed my eyes... and the relief I felt was bit too intense. I need some audio-only entertainment. I strongly prefer audiobooks with good production values.

A lot of the audiobooks I've liked have either been Agatha Christie mysteries, or Neil Gaiman books.

I have a few credits. Should I impulse buy The Mysterious and Amazing Blue Billings, which is the book Audible keeps reccing me? The algorithm usually steers me wrong, tho.

Really not sure what I am looking for, but will look at any reccs for books that are very well read / have really good audio production.

I'm currently really enjoying The Huntress by Kate Quinn, which is a post-WWII adventure novel. The reading's really good, and I'm enjoying how the three timelines are fitting together.

The Golem and the Jinni by Helen Wrecker was another one I really enjoyed on audio. I listen to majority audio though, so one could page through my book tag? I guess. I only mention reading if it's notably bad or good, otherwise assume it's fine.

The Audible Storefront is usually good for a laugh! Which some days is not nothing.

A friend of mine highly recommended the narrator of The Proposition by Judith Ivory, one of my favorite ever romance authors for her amazing prose and complex themes. It's a reverse "My Fair Lady" in which a lady "elevates" a ratcatcher.
