* Yanno that Spokane trip I was determined not to cancel? Even though rail travel has been severally cut back and trains are being cancelled with no notice?

Well, if my dental appt this week goes well my 3rd appointment will be during the trip and if it goes back my 3rd appt will also be during the trip.

I should have cancelled a few days ago. I just ... I felt like shit. This is my 3rd... really, 3rd? Yes, 3rd time calling off just going as far as (*&*&%&(^ing Spokane. 2020, 2021 and now this.

Just... what is the point of hoping for anything, ever?

* The game I play is getting it's expac next month. That's good I guess.

* Once this tooth stuff is dealt with I may rent some ABnBs in other parts of Portland just to break up my starting points, explore some other areas. I'd first hoped to do that ... ages ago? IDK, this tooth stuff needs to be settled first.

* Portland Lights Festival is coming up again soon. Weirdly, that's depressing me because I keep being reminded of last year with the storm, the power outages and the stores being closed, and then the stores having no stock because they tossed it all due to power loss... Fuck I just need something to look forward to right now. Sorry for the morose post.

Dental stuff is a misery. I'm sorry. I take it there's no way to postpone that 3rd appointment?

But it's goddamn dismal to feel like you don't have something to look forward to. You deserve something to look forward, and it's extremely shitty that you keep being unable to do the thing you want to do.

I don't want to push it out because that might cause problems. Honestly, once the train problems started happening, this trip became very silly. I was just hoping maybe things would improve.

I get it. You want to be able to hope that things will get better and stop conspiring against you. Extra shitty when things just keep sucking or failing in both old and new ways.

I hope the dental stuff gets taken care of with a minimum of problems, and that it's the kind of thing that will be a relief to have done.

Man, I want this tooth stuff over with. Then I am likely to switch dentists again because honestly, I didn't stop breathing but coming close twice has left me frazzled.

Yeah, that's definitely anxiety provoking, when dental stuff is already bad enough. It might be a good idea to shop around.

Wish I could rec you my dentist, but Colorado is probably a bit far. But even when I had a nightmare number of fillings spread out over months, she was always extremely careful.
