* My fever is down and my dentist isn't worried. So, I have dentist tomorrow... that is both good news and bad.

Honestly, since fevers are such a common reaction to certain types of dental work, to the point where some people pre-medicate with anti-biotics and tylenol, this really should have been discussed as part of the risk assessment for the procedure. She also didn't mention that it might become a root canal until she had already numbed me. So, yeah, back on the hunt for a dentist after this.

Also, when I mentioned having done a covid test and been negative, the assistant got visibly tense and asked why I'd done one. She then did my covid assessment again. Like, having a test as a precaution shouldn't be considered sus. Apparently, we didn't settle this issue back in the 90s when having an AIDs test was considered shameful and asking partners if they tested was taken as the direst insult imaginable. Nope, having a test will make medical professional panic around you. I have fatigue issues. Taking a test once in a while when they are available is reasonable, and the one I bought off of Amazon was about to expire anyway.

Yeah, I am several kinds of unhappy with my dentist and her staff.

* Most of the bands I listen to, including some obscure stuff, have had to issue statements this week that the NFTs of their music were made without permission. It's only Wednesday. I am considering making a list and see if I can check them all off by Friday.

Someone tried to NFT everything on Spotify via their public API in what was likely a publicity stunt for name recognition for a new label. They are trying to become so big that labels will cut deals with them instead. It might seem crazy, but that is how Youtube and CrunchyRoll got started and at least one file sharing service did that with music labels in the past.

So, in the same 10 day period BAYC did an ad blitz in the form of having celebs show off their apes and also someone tried to intentionally piss off the entire music industry.

Glad you’re feeling better! That dentist office does sound (frowning face). Taking your assessment a second time isn’t going to change anything.

So tired of NFT shenanigans.

Makes sense! I really hope it’ll die down but who knows.

You DEFINITELY need a new dentist. Ugh. That's a lot of shitty stuff - not mentioning potential risks or complications. And wtf about the covid test?? Especially when there are so many asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic cases, taking a test prior to an appointment where people are TOUCHING YOUR MOUTH seems like an extra polite and cautious decision, not something suspect!

I avoid most social media stuff, but in a brief scroll through FB today, one relatively obscure artist I follow mentioned having had NFTs made of his music without his permission. So huh. That's a fun thing.

Ugh. I agree with one of the top responses to the tweet you shared: "I hate it here."

Yeah, probably worth it to just stick this round of dental nonsense out with the same one, but you should definitely find a new one after that.

God, right? I'm sick of the NFT garbage, lol. You're right, though - trying to make it seem like The Thing! is the best way they can try to keep the grift going.

Definitely sounds like a new dentist is needed!
