* The first few tracks from Orville Peck's new album Bronco are out. I am glad he's making new music at a good clip and it's good to have new things to listen to, but still 90% of what I'd put on an OP playlist is still stuff from his first album.
* Business Insider has a article linked in this tweet I can't fully read due to paywall, but they did the thing where they tweeted out the main points. It's on how there is a big problem with crypto enthusiasts being victims of violent crimes, because they flash their wealth online and transfers are permanent. They are perfect targets. You can't do a charge-back on crypto. It's almost like a complete lack of consumer protections is a bad thing sometimes. But most crypto peeps need to be flash or the pyramid scheme tumbles. That's why William Shatner picked a fight with BTS Army, to turbo-charge his Stan Lee NFT by getting it attention. <- If you didn't already know, I'm sorry to inform you that happened.
Also, people are trying to hide keys by burying them out in the woods because they don't want such high value items on them or in the house? Kinda makes me want to go to Forest Park with a metal detector.
It's an interesting problem. You have to basically promote your form of currency for it to have value, but there are downsides outside of sounding like an annoying MLM shill.
* Buncha stores in my area closed early last night and I am still not sure why. So I went to the convenience store to grab a few things and ... the 24 hour Plaid Pantries were closed? No info online about closures. Feel creepy, but it's probably juststaffing issues failure to properly pay staff issues.
* Portland Night Markets are back? I am not sure if it's the same people because I followed them on social media to know when they happen. I missed one tonight. There is one tomorrow, but my plan was to hit the last of the light festival. I might Night Market instead.

That is kinda creepy sounding, about the closed stores. I hope it's nothing more than unfortunate staffing

Stores were back open today! It was just creepy.

Date: 2022-02-14 02:33 am (UTC)From:I appreciate knowing that that's a thing. As much as a hate knowing that that's a thing. It's a thing, and it won't ever not have been a thing.
I'm glad the closed stores seem to have just been an anomaly - that is creepy!
