* Elon did a bunch of stupid shit today. He's retroactively covering his ass for banning Mastodon accounts by saying that any account that promotes either alternate social media or have linktrees will be banned. So much for using twitter for [list of typical uses of twitter here].

I am watching some content creators very upset over the 'no linktree' thing. That is going to cost them... wait... did he already reverse it? or partially? "Going forward, there will be a vote for major policy changes. My apologies. Won’t happen again." What an idiot.

* One other thing I've been watching is Three Pines on Amazon Prime. It's a miniseries adapting mystery novels that take place in Quebec Canada. Most of them are related to a town called Three Pines, which has a building that used to be a residential school. It's pretty good. I hope it gets another season. It's not fantastic or anything, but it's pretty solid.

* I am in the home stretch if I want to get any more Christmas stuff done. Must keep writing. It's good to balance it with other things, though, to not get too into my own head about things. Writing certain things can put me into super bad moods, but sticking my head into GW2 for a bit helps break me out.

The latest turn in the twitter thing is weirdly getting to me? I don't even go here, but the pure small-minded bullying of it just feels so nasty. Ugh.

He's a toddler throwing a tantrum and enjoying it with people freak out over it. It's like he thinks he's playing Sims or something.

I was watching a GW2 content creator talk about how he and others are all going 'okay this is going to cost me money and also I'm under contract to tweet about my sponsored streams'. Then the update tweet came in and he's like well, we'll have to check tomorrow if this is really a full reversal.

Gosh I do hope the EU cooks his goose next year. He is so freaking HORRID! And my kingdom for a functioning media that is not full of asskissers to the rich and powerful. HOW MANY TIMES must the rich and powerful turn out to be utter catastrophes before we get back an adversarial relationship with them? Why does the press ALWAYS assume that their asses will not be grass in the fascist great man destruction they are so happily bothsiding?

I hope the EU does something about him. Some countries do have a basis to restrict or suspend twitter, it's a question of whether or not they will.

Even just the handful of twitter things I've caught in passing today just makes me TIRED. Like holy shit. (I mean, maybe some of this is getting reversed, but even so.)

I feel like I saw like... one ad for Three Pines and it seemed interesting, and then I forgot all about it.

Good luck with additional writing! Though I'm sorry it sometimes gets you stuck in your own head - having things to break it up with is definitely a good thing.

What are the chances that someone was giving him shit om his current trip to Qatar and just pushed out a change, only to come back to chaos a few hours later? He's off among the other Uber-rich, the only people he actually sees as peers, not the drooling fans on twitter.

I feel like that could very well be EXACTLY what happened. The whole situation feels so dramatically beyond parody.
