* Happy Sherlock Holmes Becomes Public Domain Eve. I usually do a big Public Domain Day post over on Historium, but didn't this year.
* This youtube short is more relatable than it should be.
* Where did this week go? I need to finish up this skillshare class even though I am still stuck on 'take 20 minutes to make your logo'. I have sketches at least, but it's going to take a bit to finish it. I need to manage ongoing projects like having theming for my photography blog and other art stuff. I've been looking at organizational methods. Trying to tidy / organize / manage projects has been my main end-of-year project.
* Oh, and I need to finish spending my Audible credits and stop my subscription. I always wind up like this with Audible. I will take any reccs, however random. I care a lot about how good the voice work is.
I really like podcasts and listen to a lot of youtubers like podcasts, but somehow a lot of audiobooks lose me. I don't know why. I like audiodramas and radio plays. I love Neil Gaiman narrating his own books. I like Agatha Christie in audiobook format, but a lot of audiobooks I can't get through or I wind up feeling like I missed something.

Date: 2023-01-01 02:19 am (UTC)From:Organizational stuff is simultaneously motivating and overwhelming imo. I am glad it's a thing you're doing, because you do have a LOT of impressive ongoing projects! I hope you find some things that work to make it smoother in general.
(I have no idea how anyone can just whip up a logo in 20 minutes.)
Podcasts and audiobooks both give me the same problem, where I both need something additional to focus on, but can't have it be something requiring too MUCH focus, or I zone out and miss something. I wish I had reccs!

Date: 2023-01-01 03:36 am (UTC)From:I do so well with podcasts! But audiobooks I very rarely do and I don't know why. I think it's partially the lack of grammar with one voice. With an audio play like Cabin Pressure you've got multiple voices and it's meant to be audio. Things not designed with audio in mind can mess me up.
