Remember when I said I do want to like this show and am not going to just roast it?
I can't. John and Mary are keeping their relationship a secret because of the toxic effect that 'office romances' can have on a group. Mary's talking like a modern day HR person. This is the seventies people... even IF she was so aware of such things she wouldn't be using that language or assuming other people would get it if she did.
I've been waiting to see how John and Mary play out because one canon detail I remember from my SPN days was that it turned out that John and Mary were magically forced to be together, their bloodline was needed to make Sam. It was a whole thing, Mom and Dad were forced together and into suburban life by angel fuckery. Maybe later they walked that back?
Still, this is a big question I've had about this show and continuity. Though I still think... hope that the show is headed towards being an alternate timeline because that is the only way this show can really do the things it appears to be doing, even before John and Mary kissed seemingly without any cupid arrows. So it's a separate timeline, they are ignoring continuity or they are going to do a hard reset 'none of this every happened'. So, I am pulling for timeline split, like with the NuTrek movies.
Carlos' L'Oreal way of attack vampires was silly, but I'll allow it. Fights scenes are good overall for a show of it's type.
The 'kill me and revive me plan' was dumb.
