* I was pretty sure I had a few things to post about today, but right now I can't remember? Ah, well, back to fic editing.

* I did have conversation today where I said 'I think I saw that quote embroidered into some cloth and stapled to a utility pole near me'. Turned out to be a similar quote, but not the same.

* squints at 'entry link' module on the left side of screen Someday I'll poke at that and see what it does. (I assume it adds keywords into URLs which is really good for some purposes)

From my memory of the entry link thing, it makes the entry url derived from the title.

It took the words I put in the box and stuck them in the URL! That is useful for, uh, SEO reasons and off-site searchability which I don't know if many users are after? But it's cool that it's there.

One reasons I use WP for my photo blog is custom URLs

That is also my assumption about what it'll do. Custom URL to an entry for ease of linking? Unsure!

I did a test and it does put keywords into the URL. That is very good for SEO and searchability by off-site search engines. Not something I think the overage DWer wants, but it does make the site viable for hosting other types of content, the sort of blogs people would typically put on wordpress

Ah! Glad to know for sure.

Agreed that it isn't likely something most DW users are looking for ordinarily, but it DOES make it a viable place for hosting things you want to spread around more. That's potentially useful for some applications.
