One interesting thing entering public domain this year is A Room Of One's Own by Virginia Woolfe. AROO, as it's also known and the associated werewolf jokes, is what the name Archive of Our Own is a reference to, along with all the AOOO werewolves of fandom jokes. Though, the shorthand Ao3 is more well known.
