* The winter storm is lingering longer than expected. The storm wasn't that bad, it's that my cross street literally never got plowed and a lot of sidewalks are uncleared. If we re-ice tonight, that's gunna suck for me.
* I am still hoping to hit more of the PDX Winter Lights Festival tonight, but that's very weather dependent. A few things I wanted to hit I may not be able to safely do in time.
[Edit - actually, looks like parts of the festival will remain closed through at least tonight. There are 3 or 4 main event sites and like a hundred or so satellite events and displays through the entire city and a few in the outskirts. One of the main anchor sites is staying dark.]
* Complicating finishing out WLF is that I have burlesque tickets Saturday night, the last night of the fest. I am kind of over the burlesque scene, but this is allegedly focused on trans masc performers. If a trans masc event is allegedly happening, I am going to go because I can. Also, I'll be going into this knowing that I'll be expected to have at least $25 in singles for tips, which is about half most burlesques because this has a pretty small line up.
I would be surprised if the event wasn't as advertised, but this city's track record with events that are supposed to include or focus on trans men is a fucking train wreck. Also I have nothing good to wear and can't, at the moment, go shopping. Eh, it's Portland. I can get away with a T shirt, I'd just like to look a bit nicer and also more formal/vintage attire is encouraged.
