I've just started watching Foundation and wow, am I going to have a lot of thoughts about this, mostly involving seeing where some thinking in geek/sci fi culture comes from. Especially the 'being good at math makes you good at all the things' idea... in the context of *gestures around broadly*

I'll organize my thoughts at some point, but very early in the show has the line "This library will burn, stealing is a mercy" and yoooo.... the irony of that dialogue on a show meant to launch a streaming service.
