Jan. 1st, 2023 02:04 amSo I spent the first hours of this year checking in with my GW2 guild and also wring a bit of ( mildly nsfw ). I don't know if that fic is something I can do/get done soon, but it sets the right tone and I intend to do it.
NYE failed to kill twitter. I am just sitting here like "Ka Boom... I was promised a twitter-shattering Ka Boom" I would have preferred that bird site fell, but I can't help but feel a little... a little something because I had randos up my butt for thinking there was a chance twitter would even survive the first weekend of new ownership. I was 'siding with Elon' or 'not believing the people who do the actual work' etc, etc. Also, they said I obviously hadn't read articles that I had actually read. People were just viewing the entire situation too simplistically, though.
It is still weird to me that it's 2023. That shouldn't be possible. Let's hope this year goes well and my next NYE is very different, but still involves writing *gestures above*.
The beer I bought for NYE:
I only had the stout, so I have the lager to look forward to another weekend. (I love Great Divide but will someone please explain to them that that is clearly a sasquatch and not a yeti?)
