* I got splashed head to toe with flood water last night by a car powering through a red light. You'd think Portland could handle rainwater, or maybe if we couldn't maybe we'd do one of the costliest public works projects in US history to expand our sewer system. Oh wait, we did that and major intersections still flood?
Ambulances were going past so the lights were on priority for emergency vehicles only. Because Flashing Lights Bad I had my eyes closed so I didn't realize some jackass was going to speed through the lights and hit the flooded out section next to me until I got drenched.
Someday I am going to get a picture of the walls of water that we get in storms when cars and buses go through. I really need to remember that I need that pic.
* I need to start keeping a record of how many pairs of shoes I've managed to walk through while photowalking. I think I am up to 4? It gets hard to keep track. Though, I am retiring this pair before I actually literally wear through the sole and am wondering why the bottom of my foot is wet. I even have the new pair ordered so I am not going to just keep wearing these! I am only wearing these at my standing desk now. I am back to standing desk life for now because being sedentary and how I sit is just being not good for me.
