Mar. 11th, 2024 02:09 amYes the Kate Middleton photo is altered. No, it's not altered in the ways most people think it is. OMFG my head is about to explode. It's just like... no... what even... The Dunning Kruger is flowing freely tonight.
( Crop of photo from the official verified post ) Here is why I am grumpy about it: People are right that it's altered because a source they trusted told them it was, which is how things should work. But everyone is trying to be all *I* can tell because *I* so smart and are trying to point out the tells themselves, but are getting them 100% wrong. It's all playing into the myth that a savvy person can unravel this all themselves, individualism over experts, don't need to rely on other people, etc.
