* Netflix loses bid to dismiss Inventing Anna defamation lawsuit. Love to see it. That show was a mess in many ways and no, you can't just depict real people and events however you want. Not only is the show pure BS, the way she conned that one guy makes zero sense... that would not work, just WTF even was that pile of BS and why was Sorokin given some weird exception allowing her to profit from depictions of her crimes even that is not how the law works?

* In other news, very long-standing vegan ice cream company Cosmic Bliss now has a brick and mortar store with lots of treats like ice cream sandwiches, floats and this s'mores smoothie:



Following my rule of 'if I can actually eat it, I am going to' I had to get one. When I ordered, they confirmed all my allergies with me. Since a different person made the order, she separately confirmed all my allergies when serving it to me.

* My backup camera is broken. Does it not understand that it's entire job is to not be broken? It is the backup. I am going to see what I can do but... the cost to get an evaluation for a repair is 15% of the replacement cost. That's just the eval, not the repair.

* My replacement walking-around-Portland jacket is a bust. This is the second jacket to fail to be a replacement for the dark grey fleece I keep defaulting to. Two problems with the dark grey fleece: 1) This is a dark rainy city that has a pathological hatred of street lights. I am an invisi-pedestrian in dark grey. 2) It's losing structural integrity. I do not feel good showing up places or stopping into sizzle pie for a vegan slice in that jacket, but it just works.

My new fleece I wore today? I cannot remember being so cold while photowalking. The point of fleece is that it can keep you warm even if it's wet, but when this got wet enough I got so chilled I actually called a Lyft. I tried to tough out walking, but just hit too miserable.
