I'd never read anything bu John Green before. Most of his books just don't sound interesting to me at all. Then I heard him describe this book by talking about of the trope of famous detectives having OCD as a superpower, but as someone with OCD he wanted to write a mystery where the main character experiences OCD as he does. Yeah, that premise really drew my attention.

So, I was a bit wrong in my last Pride post. I will do things besides Wonderwood Springs. Most of the queer craft pop ups will be at events I don't plan to go to, but I will find some side events. I will have a budget, or rather a spending goal, of money to spend on queer artists during Pride season. I have a suspicion that will happen mostly to artists at Books with Pictures con. I will also keep an eye out for events in case there is anything else I might want to do.

Also, and I don't know how I forgot about this last post, but my project in GW2 for the past few months has been making an Aurene Legendary Longbow for the virtual Pride events in Guild Wars 2. I finished it last night and sent it to Lelling for the give-away pool this morning. Aurene leggies are basically 6 leggie skins in one because you can change what dragon they are aspected to, so you can customize the weapon to your characters' looks. In GW2 leggies are account-wide unlocks so each build on each character gets basically a duplicate of the weapon, so fashion-wise it's a pile of leggie skins. They are particularly expensive and time consuming. I meant to also make an Aurene Greatsword for the event, but I just didn't have enough free time to do 2 Aurene leggies, but I can do a vanilla leggy to add to the pool. Vanilla leggies are a lot less work and cost.

That was my attempt to explain 4 months of work on a shiny for the virtual Pride events in the video game I play and why it was like particularly cool without a full explanation that would take several long paragraphs. MMOs are weird and complicated. Lelling is working right now to plan this year's routes for the 4 marches, good endpoints and how to get to good vantage points for screenshots and clips to show the parades. It's a lot of planning.
