My D&D Character

I am ready for D&D today. I've not studied my spells or even look at my player's handbook, but I have a cool new shirt and I've drawn my character's best moment from last session:

Our party was just back from fighting a smoke demon and we were filthy. We found, in our home, a lady threatening us and ... eating my cupcakes. I don't know who she is, both in and out of character. But other party members seemed shaken to have drawn her attention. The DM gave a description of her as having long black hair with a purple streak, and wearing a very fine, luxurious white dress.

So my soot covered self hugged her.

This is apparently going to be A Problem. Patience, my Tiefling wizard, is very happy with how she handled things. Poor Patience. Her home, her cupcakes! So I've drawn her excellent handling of the situation.

Thanks! It's an official D&D shirt that they made for a charity thing.

Game went well, but I need to learn the rules gooder. I am a GURPS gamer and am having the 'same words mean different things' problem.

DnD has a lot of rules!! I recommend taking them a few at a time because otherwise you just end up kind of @_@ swirly eyed and don't remember them afterwards (at least in my experience!!)
